Small Rare Breed Sheepskin Frothy Coffee
Natural undyed British rare breed sheepskin rugs. These exquisite rugs are smaller than our average sheepskins, perfect if you don't want a huge area rug and ideal for a child's room, a smaller room or draped over furniture. They are lovely on a bench seat or garden furniture too. They will add colour and texture to a room, comfort to your seating and feel wonderful underfoot.
We batch the colours into groups to help you find the colouring you prefer. This one is Frothy Coffee, a light, creamy, pale coffee colour. Even within a named colour, there is natural variation in pattern and shade, as these are completely natural, undyed sheepskins, so each one is truly unique.
Sizes range from 86 × 55 cm down to 80 × 58 cm, so you will receive one similar in size to these. All have a medium length, soft fleece, plenty long enough to run your fingers and toes through.
- Size: approx. 82 × 56 cm (32" × 22") on average, each varies slightly
- Composition: 100% whole British sheepskin
- Origin: Made in Britain
Product Care
To clean, take it outside, give it a good shake and a gentle brush with our bamboo sheepskin brush. Brush regularly to help maintain the loft and bring out the best in the wool fibres. Spot-clean or machine-wash (subject to machine size) if needed, at up to 30°C on a wool programme using a wool-recommended detergent. Allow to dry naturally.
Easy Sheepskin Care instructions are here.
Origin & Sustainability
Produced in Devon by Britain's oldest established sheepskin tannery, which has been working in Buckfastleigh on the edge of Dartmoor for over 200 years. Local sheepskins are carefully selected and tanned using traditional techniques handed down through generations of skilled craftsmen.
Natural sheepskin is a renewable and biodegradable material, and by choosing one you are supporting long-standing British craftsmanship and sustainable rural livelihoods. Our gorgeous rugs are made to withstand the test of time and trends, ensuring they remain a staple décor piece for years to come.
You can watch how our sheepskins are made in our short film, How a sheepskin is created.
